Avoid eating fried foods as early as possible. Go for baking or sautéing in oil or grilling. This will reduce the calorie content.

 

Regular exercise for a stronger and healthy heart and body. There should be enough movement for your body so that the muscles get some strength and your metabolism improves. If you cannot go for a continuous 30 minute walk then split it into some 10 minute walks. Try to go for stairs instead of elevators wherever it is possible.

 

Take in healthy forms of fat. Reduce the intake of saturated fats and stop taking trans fats. Dairy products and meat are rich in saturated fats while most of the prepackaged foods are rich in trans fats.

 

Put an end to eating sweets. When you stop eating sweets you are saving a lot of calories. Prefer fruits to sweets.

 

Limit your intake of dairy products as they are very rich in fats. Go for non fat milk in small steps. As far as cheese and yogurt are considered go for low fat content.

 

Stay away from colas and other drinks. Drinks are a rich source of unnecessary calories. Water is the best drink you can have. If you can’t have water for a long time you can go for some fruit drinks available in the market. Make sure that these are low in calorie content.
